It's that time again! We’re excited to announce that we’re designing the Cats of the World Weekly Planner featuring Blogging and Social Media Felines again for 2021. The spiral bound 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 calendars were a huge success. The 2018 and 2020 weekly planners received a Certificate of Excellence from the Cat Writers' Association. Everyone was pleased with the quality of these planners, so we're moving forward with another one for 2021.
The planner will be an 8 x 10 spiral-bound, weekly planner, with pictures of blogging and social media cats on one page and the week in view on the facing page. We're including special holidays, events in the blogging world and other pertinent information relating to cats in the calendar.
Each blog/social media account may submit 1-4 photos, which can include one of each of your cats or a group photo of multiple cats. If you have one or two kitties, find the best 1-4 photos and send them to us in priority order. Once again, this year we will only use ONE photo per week in the calendar, so please prioritize your photos accordingly. There is a strong possibility more than one photo of cats from your blog may be featured. If we still need additional images, we will send out another notice.
All photos should be “natural” photos of your felines in their environment and not “PhotoShopped”. We want this calendar to show the beauty of the blogging and social media cats in their natural environment. The photos MUST be clear, bright, and focused (300 dpi) in order to print well. The photos should be original photos that haven't been resized. Photos that have been resized do not enlarge well and we will be unable to use them. If photos aren't of high quality, an email will be sent asking for additional photos or notifying you that your photos may not be used. The photos should be in portrait mode.
Please remove any watermarks or names from the photos prior to submitting. Your blog/social media name and URL address will be included under the photo and there will be a statement on the title page that acknowledges that photos are the property of the individuals.
Please send your photos to us by midnight, September 14, 2020. We’d like to have the weekly planner completed by the end of September, so we can submit the order to the publisher in time for people to purchase for the holidays. Important Information about of what to include in the email:
- Send up to 4 photos
- Provide the names of the of the cat(s) in the photo. Ideally, the name of the file would be the name of the cat(s).
- Name of blog/social media
- Blog/social media address
- Name of human behind the blog
